about the site
Once upon a time there were two individual layout sites. Bitterly Lonely Layouts and Blue Bullet Layouts. Bitterly Lonely Layouts was owned by Anna, and Blue Bullet by Amy. Both the sites were hosted by Freewebs. Bitterly Lonely didn't last for long and was shut down sometime in the beginning of May.
Then came Sorrowful September, opened on May 22, 2007 and owned by Anna. As time progressed, Anna needed a co-owner for the site, as she couldn't handle it all by herself. That's when she requested Amy to join her at SS, sometime in late October/November. Amy accepted, and ran both, her personal site BBL, and SS together. Then, in January Sorrowful September was hosted by Lani and shifted out of Freewebs.
And then, finally, because running BBL and SS was a bit too hectic, Shortcut to Disaster came along. It was opened on 25 March, 2008, and continues to be hosted by Lani.
Deciding on the name of the website was rather a trouble for us. The other names we were considering for this site were September Blues, Caliginious Crows, Sorrowful Bullet and many more. We felt that September Blues and Sorrowful Bullet and the other names weren't appealing enough to us and Caliginious Crows wasn't exactly the easiest word to remember how to spell. Can you imagine having a website and not knowing how to spell its name? Haha! We decided on Shortcut to Disaster in the end. This site offers alot more than the previous sites, and we're always trying to improve it in any way we can. Feel free to email us your suggestions, comments and questions.
